Rancho La PazQuorum Article - March 2005
Rancho La Paz is a gated community occupying ten
acres of fee simple land in South Palm Springs at 1150 East Palm Canyon Drive.
Built during the period 1978-1979, its developer was Perry Freeman, a general
contractor who built several complexes and commercial structures in the Palm
Springs area. The 94 condominium units at Rancho La Paz come
in 7 one, two and three bedroom models
located in one and two-storey stucco buildings
with distinctive blue-grey tile roofs. The design of the units features vaulted and beamed ceilings.
Car parking is a mix of carports and attached garages. In the current sellers’
market prices range from $189,000 to $365,000. Rancho La Paz is a permanent home to more and
more residents. The ratio of full time to part time residents is now about
60/40. Rancho La Paz homeowners love its central
location, grounds, and accessibility. It is close
to great shopping, restaurants, bus stops, services and religious centers. The
landscaping is lush and the greenbelt plentiful. Many of the homes enjoy fine
mountain views. Community facilities
include 3 pools, 4 spas, and 4 tennis courts, 2
of which are lighted. Depending on unit size, homeowner dues range from $339 to
$366. A 7-member Board of Directors governs the
community. The Board is assisted by some very energetic committees and is
proactive in meeting the issues and challenges facing a mature desert community.
For example, the change from irrigation intensive to desert landscape is
complete. The complex was recently repainted. Solar pool heating has been
installed, and driveway and street projects are under way. Vendors supporting the Board include Monarch
Management, 1st Centennial Bank, Law Offices of Peggy Redmon, Springs
Painting, and Castro Roofing. Association Manager, Julian Becton, thinks the
layout, location and amenities make this community unique, especially when
combined with effective communications and personal attention by Board and
Management. What’s more, says Julian, “The Board is a joy to work with. And
there is never a dull moment.” Sellers Select Realty Services 23-225 Tamyram Road Sky Valley CA 92241 Tel: 760-329-3650 Fax:760-329-1265 Coachella Valley's Unique Real Estate Web SitePalm Springs Desert Area Homes, Condos & Real Estate are to be found in the Coachella Valley cities of Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, Bermuda Dunes, La Quinta, Desert Hot Springs, Thousand Palms and Indio.
